HAVING “HOME CHURCH” IDEAS:
If you stay home on Sunday you can still honor and enjoy the Lord’s Day by having your own worship service. Here are some ideas:
Clean up and dress decently in honor of Him.
Play some Christian music and sing along.
Take a minute to pray and thank God after every few songs. Read some verses from the book of Psalms. Spend a few minutes praying through a list such as:
• Praise and thanksgiving
• Pray for others
• Ask forgiveness of your sins
• Ask for your own needs
• End with more praise and thanksgiving
Read a favorite passage of Scripture and think on it, meditate on it, study it, and think of how it applies to you.
Close in prayer.
Keep Christian music playing while you do other things.
There are of course plenty of Church services to watch and listen to online, on TV and radio.
Remember, you can worship the Lord your God anywhere, anytime.
Remember also that the Church isn’t the building or the scheduled service. We are the Church.
…there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. (1 Corinthians 12:25-27)
