USE THE POWER OF SMALL IMPROVEMENTS

A SIMPLE METHOD FOR SMALL CHURCH GROWTH

Sometimes a smaller Church desires to grow but doesn’t know where to start. It all seems so overwhelming, and all the books and experts don’t seem to really understand what you are up against.

One of simplest and easiest ways to get the ball rolling is through making small improvements in several areas.

Here’s how…

List out the many and varied areas of ministry that your Church is involved in. (Even a small Church has a lot of areas in its overall ministry. Listed below is a list of over thirty to get you thinking.)

List small, simple improvements that you can easily make in many of them.

Take a month or two to accomplish these easy fixes.

Repeat by making another list of relatively easy fixes.

After a while, the improvements will become more difficult, but taking care of the simple, easy “upgrades” in several ministry areas will help you achieve overall improvement, and that is one important type of Church growth.

Remember, our job is not to “grow the Church”; that is His job. Our job is to work to make the Church healthy, and a healthy Church will be a growing Church.

Don’t be fooled by the power of these small improvements; they add up big time. Soon the whole Church will probably be doing better, and since the progress doesn’t depend on any one thing or person, the overall improvement is much more stable than if you try doing a huge push on one particular project or program in one area of ministry.

Here is a list of over thirty common areas of ministry typically found in a smaller Church.
