Be Happy Anyway Key #3: Give Thanks

Thankfulness is the pathway to happiness, especially when it is expressed directly to our Heavenly Father, the giver of all good things.

He has blessed us with so much to be thankful for, and we can choose to to have a thankful heart.

God Bless,

Johnny

NOTES:

BE HAPPY ANYWAY, KEY #3: GIVE THANKS

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) 16  Rejoice always, 17  pray without ceasing, 18  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) 8  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.

  1. THE LIST OF BLESSINGS FROM UR LORD IS ENDLESS

SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, FAMILY, NATIONAL, FUUTURE, ANSWERED PRAYERS, …

PAST BLESSINGS AND FUTURE PROMISES

  1. PHILIPPIANS 4:8 THINK ABOUT THE GOOD THINGS, MEDITATE ON THEM, NOT THE EVER PRESENT BAD THINGS

NOT THANKSFUL FOR EVERYTHING (SIN IS SIN FOR EXAMPLE), BUT THANKFUL IN EVERY SITUATION.

EVERY GRACE GOD HAS GIVEN US SHOULD BE APPRECIATED AND NOT TAKEN FOR GRANTED, EXPECTED, OR ENTITLEMENT

  1. YOU CAN ONLY GIVE THANKS BY SPEAKING/INTERACTING WITH GOD.

YOU CAN BE GRATEFUL, GLAD, BLESSED, FORTUNATE WITHOUT INVOLVING HIM DIRECTLY

BUT YOU CAN ONLY GIVE THANKS BY GIVING IT TO HIM DIRECTLY

  1. A CHOICE. GOD PROMISES THERE WILL ALWAYS BE REASON FOR GIVING THANKS, EVEN IN THE MIDST OF TRAGEDY.

Romans 8:28 (NKJV) 28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

  1. rejoice ALWAYS

prayer WITHOUT CEASING

IN EVERYTHING give thanks.

THIS IS TO BE A LIFESTYLE, THE PERSON THAT YOU ARE

SO WORKING BACKWARD: PRACTICING GIVING THANKS IN EVERY SITUATION IS A GOOD START IN PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING, AND LEADS TO HIS PRESENCE WHICH IS FULLNESS OF JOY

Acts 5:41 (NKJV) 41  So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.
